Manufacturing Process Engineer
Salary Range $90,000 - $110,000/year
We’re working with an established aerospace manufacturing company to hire a Process Engineer. If hired, you’ll be responsible for developing, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance quality, productivity, safety, and cost efficiency. This hands-on role supports production, process development, tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and production methods.
Provide hands-on support for production, equipment, tooling, and process troubleshooting.
Analyze production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Develop and improve tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and manufacturing methods.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and process validation.
Maintain manufacturing documentation, routings, Bills of Material (BOMs), and ERP records.
Analyze cycle times, scrap, rework, and production data to identify improvement opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and root-cause analysis.
Ensure manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related manufacturing role.
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, process development, and continuous improvement.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and production troubleshooting.
Proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace manufacturing experience.
Experience with production tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing instructions.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, routings, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and the 5 Whys methodology.
