About This Position The AML & Reporting Analyst supports the organization's AML, BSA, CTF, and regulatory reporting programs through transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, customer due diligence, and investigations of potentially suspicious activity. This role analyzes customer transactions, prepares SARs, CTRs, and management reports, and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The Analyst collaborates with customers, business units, auditors, regulators, and management to support investigations, compliance reviews, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of AML regulations, financial crime risks, and reporting requirements. This individual also contributes to process improvements, policy enhancements, and the ongoing effectiveness of the organization's compliance program. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Conduct AML investigations, transaction reviews, sanctions screening, and due diligence activities (CDD/EDD) to identify and assess potential financial crime risks. Analyze customer activity, gather and document investigative findings, and escalat... suspicious activity as appropriate. Prepare, review, and support the filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), and other regulatory reports. Maintain accurate case records, investigation documentation, and compliance-related files. Compile, validate, analyze, and report AML, compliance, and risk-related data, including key metrics and trends. Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and management reporting to support compliance oversight and decision-making. Assist with the administration of AML, BSA, OFAC, and related compliance programs. Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, compliance testing, and risk assessments. Collaborate with customers, business units, and internal stakeholders to obtain information and resolve investigation-related matters. Identify emerging risks, control gaps, and opportunities for process, system, and reporting improvements. Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of AML policies, procedures, controls, and reporting standards. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, confidentiality requirements, and record-keeping standards. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. What You'll Need Associate's degree (A. A.) or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of AML, BSA, CTF, KYC, CDD, EDD, OFAC sanctions, PEP screening, and regulatory reporting requirements, including SARs. Understanding of financial crime typologies, risk management principles, internal controls, and compliance frameworks. Knowledge of banking, payments, financial services, and regulatory examination processes. Strong analytical, investigative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, anomalies, and potential financial crime risks, and draw sound conclusions. Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, procedures, and technical guidance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Access, and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, formulas, reporting). Experience with AML monitoring systems, case management platforms, and reporting or business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presentations, and correspondence. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to data accuracy and quality. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and make risk-based decisions. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, auditors, regulators, and business partners. Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and adapt to changing business, regulatory, and technology environments. Demonstrates strong knowledge of AML/BSA, OFAC, KYC/CDD/EDD requirements, SAR/CTR processes, and financial crime compliance regulations. Possesses excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct transaction reviews, identify trends and anomalies, assess risk, and make sound decisions. Skilled in data analysis, reporting, audit support, and maintaining regulatory compliance through accurate documentation and attention to detail. Communicates effectively with customers, management, auditors, and regulators, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, AML monitoring systems, case management tools, and reporting platforms. Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Demonstrates adaptability, professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
