Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Life Sciences Patent Attorney in the Seattle area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in biomedical sciences and chemistry, and will contribute to the firm's intellectual property services, including patent preparation and prosecution. Duties Prepare and prosecute patents in life sciences and chemical technology areas. Manage foreign prosecution processes. Engage extensively and promptly with in-house attorneys, inventors, and firm attorneys. Requirements Juris Doctor degree. Ph.D. in biological sciences (e.g., biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics) with knowledge of organic chemistry. USPTO Registration. Conscientious and detail-oriented. Effective communication skills with clients, attorneys, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels. Education Juris Doctor Ph.D. in biological sciences. Certifications USPTO Registration. Skills Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Team-oriented and collaborative. Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance.
