Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This role involves working in a fast-paced surgical environment, assisting with a variety of medical procedures and surgeries.

Key Responsibilities of the Surgical Technologist

• Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel
• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment using aseptic techniques
• Ensure the proper functioning and handling of surgical instruments and equipment
• Manage the sterilization and decontamination process
• Assist in various procedures such as gastric bypass, aortic aneurysm repair, and hernia repair
• Participate in patient care both pre- and post-operation, ensuring proper specimen handling
• Adhere to safety protocols and universal procedures

Requirements of the Surgical Technologist

• CST certification; preferably NBSTSA-certified
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably with prior travel experience
• Experience with Epic charting system is strongly preferred
• Experience in trauma level II environments is preferred
