Position: Intern, Mechanical Engineering Location: Irvine, CA – Onsite Position Description The candidate will work in a rapid development environment where the project will progress from design, fabrication, assembly and test phases in a short period of time. Required Skills, Qualifications and Education General knowledge of mechanical engineering principles Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (e.g. drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications) Experience with CAD software An interest in aerospace and defense Education: Degree in process and typical experience in engineering classification; Bachelor of Science – Engineering degree preferred Travel None Physical Demands Ability to work in a standard office environment, using computers and other office equipment. Capability to travel to field sites, including manufacturing facilities, test sites, or operational environments. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally for handling technical equipment or documentation. Working Conditions The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment with little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to an environment where inclement weather may be subject to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. Work Authorization Requirement Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship. Hourly Rate $27.00 an hour. Hourly rate depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high‑demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
