School-Based RN Opportunity

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students health and well-being in a vibrant school community near Naperville, IL. This school-based RN position, running from early August 2026 through late May 2027, offers a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) and the chance to truly make an impact.

As a Certified School Nurse (CSN), you’ll play a pivotal role in creating a safe and healthy environment for students. This comprehensive position combines hands-on health office management with involvement in student support plans, making your day both varied and meaningful.

What we’re looking for:

• Active RN license in Illinois and Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience in a school nursing or pediatric setting is highly desired
• Knowledge of IEP and 504 processes and the ability to collaborate as part of multidisciplinary teams
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
• Comfortable with thorough, in-person interview processes
• Availability for the entire academic contract term

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing all aspects of the school health office, providing direct care to students with diverse medical needs
• Conducting medical reviews and maintaining accurate health records
• Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 meetings to advocate for student health accommodations
• Educating students, families, and staff on health practices, wellness, and safety
• Promoting a healthy school climate in collaboration with education professionals
