Registered Nurse Operating Room

Memorial Health, a leading healthcare provider in Savannah, Georgia, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide safe, evidence‐based perioperative nursing care for surgical patients across a variety of specialties, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative circulating and/or scrubbing, and immediate postoperative support. Working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, you will advocate for patients, coordinate care, and ensure adherence to all clinical, safety, and infection prevention standards. The Operating Room RN will be responsible for preparing the OR and equipment, verifying patient identity, procedure, and site, participating in surgical time‑outs, maintaining sterility and accurate counts, managing documentation in the electronic medical record, and responding quickly to changes in patient condition. You will support patient and family education, uphold patient privacy and dignity, and contribute to a calm, organized environment during routine, urgent, and emergent procedures. This position involves rotating shifts that may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call coverage based on surgical schedule needs.
