Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN – Parkridge Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare. This PRN/As‑Needed position is an exciting opportunity for experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologists to join a leading healthcare provider. The Nuclear Medicine (NM) Technologist performs general nuclear medicine and PET‑CT exams, providing the highest level of customer service and image quality. The NM tech also receives, calibrates, logs, administers and monitors the decay of radioactive isotopes following appropriate policies, procedures and radiation safety practices. What You Will Do In This Role Perform and maintain all accreditations for the hot lab. Create a department on‑call schedule for staff. Supervise the nuclear technologists and act as primary point of contact for resolving questions and issues. Perform nuclear medicine exams following protocols in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care. Receive, calibrate, log, administer and monitor the decay of radioactive isotopes. Provide radiation safety support in the event of a radiation incident/spill. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Record patients' medical information. Coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete. Inform the patient about the procedure and answer questions. Communicate professionally with co‑workers, physicians, patients and family members. Maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in Job Qualifications. Adhere to the facility ICARE values. Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments. Provide patient education on discharge instructions. Demonstrate the ability to perform technical skills and procedures. Be knowledgeable in the handling of radioactive materials. Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages served. Properly measure radioactive waste and dispose of it in accordance with regulatory guidelines. What Qualifications You Will Need Graduation from an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine. Current registry by CNMT or ARRT (N) required. BLS required. PET‑CT experience preferred.
