Senior Associate, Credit & Lending (Deal Packaging & Lender Outreach)

The Role
Were looking for a Sr. Associate to drive deal packaging and lender outreach within our Credit & Lending department. This is a relationship-focused execution role for someone who combines strong underwriting knowledge with account management skills—able to answer lender questions on deals while managing multiple lender relationships.

You’ll launch deals to lenders, manage follow-up communications, track term sheet progress, and serve as the primary point of contact for lender inquiries during the credit process. This role reports to the Lending Manager and offers advancement opportunities to senior leadership.

What You’ll Do

Execute Lender Outreach:

Launch deals to multiple lenders simultaneously, track submissions, and manage follow-up communications. Keep deals moving through credit committee.

Manage Lender Relationships:

Serve as primary point of contact for community banks, regional lenders, and credit unions. Build rapport and maintain ongoing communication that keeps Custom Capital top-of-mind.

Answer Lender Questions:

Respond to lender inquiries within 24 hours with accurate, complete information. Requires solid underwriting knowledge to address questions about NOI, tenant credit, lease terms, and deal structure.

Assemble Loan Packages:

Create complete loan submissions—lease abstracts, tenant financials, construction budgets, and credit presentations—ensuring everything is accurate and ready before lender outreach.

Track Term Sheets:

Manage the process from submission to term sheet. Track lender responses, compare terms across multiple offers, and present options to investors.

Maintain Lender Intelligence:

Track lender preferences, credit appetites, and feedback to improve future submissions. Contribute to lender targeting strategy.

Track Pipeline & Metrics:

Maintain accurate pipeline data in Monday.com, track hit rates and term sheet progress, and provide regular updates to leadership.

Who You Are

5–8 years in CRE lending, loan origination, or capital markets,

with experience managing lender relationships or bank account management. NNN retail, industrial, or single-tenant experience preferred.

Solid underwriting foundation—

you understand NOI, DSCR, cap rates, lease evaluation, and can confidently answer lender questions about deal fundamentals.

Account management experience—

you know how to build and maintain professional relationships. Experience managing bank or lender relationships is ideal.

Loan packaging experience—

familiarity with community banks, regional banks, or credit unions. You know what a complete submission looks like and why it matters.

Strong communication skills—

responsive, professional, and able to manage multiple stakeholder conversations simultaneously.

Process-oriented and detail-obsessed—

comfortable managing 15-20 concurrent deals using Monday.com, HubSpot, and Slack.
