Automotive Lead Technician

Job Title Lead Technician – Bridgestone Retail Operations Location Nashville, Tennessee, USA Compensation $2,000 sign‑on bonus (first‑time hires). Pay range: $24.10–$48.16 per hour, based on flat‑rate performance compensation. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair drivability and electrical systems, including brakes, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems. Explain technical diagnoses and recommended repairs to customers and non‑technical staff. Maintain current knowledge of evolving automotive technology through continuous paid formal training. Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities. Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least 5 of A1–A8 within first two years of employment (company pays exam fees; bonus for tests passed). Qualifications Valid automobile driver’s license at all times and ability to drive company and customer vehicles. Proficient in brake diagnosis/repair, alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair, and general automotive maintenance & tire repair. Current federal, state and local certifications/licenses where applicable. Strong communication skills for explaining technical information to non‑technical audiences. Reading, writing, and math proficiency. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, engine repair, engine performance, automatic or manual transmissions/transaxles, and automotive heating/AC. 5 years of automotive repair experience or proof through third‑party assessments, certifications, or completion of a vocational‑technical school program.
