Role Description The Fitter role at Lannon Tank Company, LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Lannon, WI. The Fitter is responsible for fitting, assembling, and installing tank components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, positioning and aligning parts, and working closely with welders and fabricators to ensure accurate assembly. The Fitter inspects completed work, identifies and corrects defects, and follows all safety procedures and company guidelines. This role also involves maintaining tools and equipment, keeping work areas organized, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines. Qualifications Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications; strong basic math and measurement skills. Experience with fitting and assembling metal components, including layout, marking, cutting, and positioning of parts. Familiarity with welding processes and fabrication shop practices; ability to work effectively with welders and other trades. Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial, fabrication, or construction environments; commitment to safe work habits. Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to inspect and verify completed assemblies against requirements. Physical ability to lift, carry, stand, bend, and work with tools and materials for extended periods; comfortable working in a shop setting. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, following direction from supervisors and engineers. Prior experience as a fitter, fabricator, or similar role in tank manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial construction is preferred.
