Fraud Specialist
Location: Rochester, NY
Job Type: Long-Term Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a Fraud Specialist to investigate and respond to fraud and financial crime activity, protect clients from financial losses, and work with internal teams and financial institutions to resolve fraudulent transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review high-risk clients and transactions and identify potential fraud risks.
- Investigate fraud concerns and escalations received from clients and internal teams.
- Work directly with financial institutions to freeze accounts and recover fraudulent funds .
- Prepare and submit Letters of Indemnification and follow up with banks and clients.
- Investigate check fraud , including counterfeit checks and forged endorsements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree required in Criminal Justice, Economic Crime Investigation, Finance, or Business.
- 1+ year of experience in fraud, investigations, banking, compliance, business, or finance.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Comfortable working in a client-facing environment .
