About the Position

Job Title: RN - Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: BLS Certification Description: Contract position for Registered Nurse in Postpartum specialty. Shift work from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This position is for 13 weeks with no on-call requirements. The unit has 24 beds and a staff of 26. Staff includes 1 charge nurse, 4 registered nurses, and 1 clerk during the day shift. There are no Patient Care Technicians at night. Patient ratios typically range from 3:1 to 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity. The unit utilizes EMR Meditech and CPN for documentation. Candidates without required skills will not be considered for this role. Preferred qualifications include experience in Labor & Delivery or Antepartum care. Typical procedures performed include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin and magnesium drips, and heparin drips. Teamwork and good communication skills are essential for success in this role. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Additional information may include new equipment or technology updates, staff tenure, and schedule flexibility to attract candidates.
