Step into a rewarding, school-based contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting K-12 students for the upcoming academic year. You’ll work closely with a diverse caseload, making a direct impact on student achievement and communication development in an engaging educational setting.
Your assignment will run from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering the consistency of a full school year and a flexible, supportive work environment. The role is full-time, scheduled for 37.5 hours per week across five days, providing you with a structured yet engaging schedule.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Alabama SLP License
- CCC or CFY considered; open to experienced SLPs and clinical fellows
- Pediatric, school, or K-12 experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students for speech, language, and communication needs across K-12 grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain documentation on student progress and update reports as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, educators, and families for holistic student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and share expertise with staff
- Adapt and tailor sessions to address diverse learning styles and abilities
