This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, integration, and troubleshooting of aviation-related subsystems, component sub-systems, Sensor Management Units, and Data Recorders.Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support system integration, test development, and execution of various types of complex avionics systemsCreate and develop documentation for system requirements and interfaces, including system engineering drawings and diagramsTroubleshoot systems to resolve complex issuesInteract and coordinate with responsible subsystems engineers responsible for sustaining subsystemsServe as an interface between the Operations & Test organization and the engineersEnsure subsystem(s) performance meets specified levelsProactively maintain overall system performance of deployed subsystemsPerform troubleshooting, document issues, and coordinate field replacements/upgrades of subsystemsContribute to improvement of processes, design, and future sustainment effortsActively participate in Program Risk and Opportunity ManagementThe selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. Once established in role, the position could potentially offer a hybrid work environment. Scheduled telework days are approved at manager's discretion.This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.This position can be filled at either the Electronics Engineer - Subsystems level or the Principal Electronics Engineer - Subsystems level, depending upon the qualifications below.Basic Qualifications for Electronics Engineer - Subsystems:Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.Experience with RedHat and VxWorksActive DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/SAR).Basic Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer - Subsystems:Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a relevant STEM degree and 1 year of related engineering experience.Experience with RedHat and VxWorksActive DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/SAR).Preferred Qualifications for both levels:Experience with production, electrical chassis assembly, and circuit card assembliesExperience with Supplier ManagementPrimary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
