Custodian (Temporary)

Summary: Perform the cleaning duties to keep assigned work area(s) in a clean and orderly condition. May work alone or in a small crew depending on situation. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Floor maintenance (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc.) Restroom cleaning, sanitation and paper product replenishment Trash can emptying Other tasks as assigned REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to work with others Knowledge of or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques Knowledge of or willingness to learn hazards and safety methods related to custodial operations Must be responsible to effectively complete assigned cleaning duties independently An applicant must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Each applicant must agree with and affirm the Bob Jones University creed, mission (see and core biblical doctrines regarding areas such as the Bible, the triune God, man and salvation, etc. Employees are expected to maintain a conservative lifestyle and support Bob Jones University’s positions on issues such as beverage alcohol and addictive substances, creation, marriage and human sexuality and the sanctity of life, etc., ( Employees are to be active members of a local Bible believing church which holds orthodox theology.
