Job Description Requisition Number: 28332 Required Travel: 0 - 10% Employment Type: Full Time / Salaried / Exempt Anticipated Salary Range: $56,566 - $143,122 Security Clearance: Secret (TS/SCI upgrade expected) Level of Experience: Mid Location: Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio (commutable to Beavercreek, Fairborn, Dayton, Riverside) Essential Job Responsibilities Implement new software functionality using industry‑standard frameworks. Evaluate existing solutions and propose and implement improvements and extensions as required by the overall architecture. Build and test web applications using .NET Core, Node.js, Vue, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and related Microsoft stack components. Develop web APIs with modern frameworks such as .NET Core and Node.js. Provide domain‑specific expertise and product perspective to cross‑organization projects and programs. Create and/or contribute to technical and functional documentation, including architectural and system design documents. Participate in project planning, status, and review meetings. Conduct peer reviews and evaluate designs for compliance with application design and development standards. Identify problem areas, diagnose causes, and recommend corrective actions. Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into software application design. Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS. Working knowledge of Web API or similar service‑oriented architecture frameworks. Experience with continuous integration / continuous delivery tools. Secret security clearance to start; ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance with enhanced security check. Software Engineer Junior – 0 years experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field or high‑school diploma/​equivalent and 4 years relevant experience. Software Engineer Mid – 2 years relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field or 0 years experience with a master’s degree in a related field, or high‑school diploma/​equivalent and 6 years relevant experience. Software Engineer Senior – 5 years relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3 years relevant experience with a master’s degree, or 0 years experience with a PhD or JD; or high‑school diploma/​equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Software Engineer SME – 9 years relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 7 years relevant experience with a master’s degree, 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or JD, or high‑school diploma/​equivalent and 13 years relevant experience. Preferred Requirements Experience with GitLab, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, or similar. Experience with the latest versions of Microsoft Visual Studio; expertise in unit testing and supporting project testing. Strong communication skills. Microsoft and/or security certifications or equivalent work experience. Experience with C++, Qt, and Python is a plus.
