Position Details Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Open Heart Specialty Schedule Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 40 Shift: 10 hours, days (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM) – 4x10-hour shifts Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in Open Heart procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient support. The role involves participating in complex surgical cases and offering excellent clinical skills in high‑stakes environments. Responsibilities Assist in complex surgical procedures including CABG, mitral, tricuspid, and aortic valve repairs. Manage ECMO and LVAD patients, including Impella device management. Provide care in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on safety and patient outcomes. Participate in call duties with a 30‑minute response time requirement. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge on best practices in open heart surgery. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in an open heart setting. Licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current certifications in ACLS and BLS. EPIC charting system experience. Pass‑Fail EKG exam required prior to starting.
