ASCP Cytotechnologist

Cytotechnologist – CTWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Cytotechnologist to join our team at our state-of-the-art hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for examining and analyzing cells and tissues to identify abnormalities or diseases. You will work with a team of pathologists and laboratory professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses to healthcare providers.Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze specimens, including fine needle aspirations, gynecologic, and non-gynecologic samplesPerform high-quality cytological examinations of cells and tissues to identify abnormalities or diseaseIdentify and document abnormal cells, and refer cases to a pathologist for further review as neededMaintain accurate and complete records of all cytology resultsParticipate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable resultsMaintain laboratory equipment and supplies, and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as neededAdhere to laboratory safety and infection control protocolsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related fieldCertification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalentStrong knowledge of cytological techniques and procedures, including fine needle aspiration and gynecologic and non-gynecologic sample analysisStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks and prioritiesMLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc
