Company Description Miniature Artificial Intelligence Accessories designs technology accessories and devices that are tailored to specific use cases and user demographics. The company’s mission is to make everyday tech more beneficial, intuitive, and comfortable to use. Current innovations focus on reimagining the smartwatch by moving it off the wrist and into alternative form factors, such as keychains and other wearable placements. Team members contribute to products that challenge conventional device design and improve real-world usability for diverse users. Role Description This full-time, on-site Industrial Designer role is based in San Francisco, CA. The Industrial Designer will translate user needs and market insights into tangible product concepts, form factors, and detailed designs for AI-enabled accessories and devices. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating sketches and 3D models, developing ergonomic and aesthetic solutions, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to refine concepts. The role involves building and testing prototypes, iterating based on user feedback, and preparing design documentation and specifications for product development and manufacturing. The Industrial Designer is expected to participate in design reviews, support cross-functional collaboration, and help evolve the company’s design language and standards. Qualifications Strong foundation in Industrial Design and Product Design, with the ability to create functional, user-centered physical products. Experience with Prototyping and Product Development, including building and testing models and translating concepts into production-ready designs. Proficiency in Design Thinking, with skills in user research, problem framing, and iterative concept exploration. Comfort with designing for wearable or small-form-factor devices and consumer electronics is highly beneficial. Ability to use industry-standard design and CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, or similar) and collaborate effectively with engineering teams. Strong visual communication skills for presenting ideas through sketches, renderings, and presentation materials. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
