Job Details

This CDL A Yard Driver role is based in Patterson, CA and pays $26.76 per hour. The work combines yard driving with occasional trailer shuttles to Modesto and locations throughout the Bay Area. This TransForce driving opportunity offers a local Monday through Friday schedule with consistent support during the assignment.

This role requires a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card in addition to relevant experience and a Class A CDL. 

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $26.76 per hour
• Estimated weekly gross: $1,350
• Location: Patterson, CA
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Shift: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Overtime: Approximately 1 to 2 hours per day, depending on operational needs

What You'll Be Doing

• Move, spot, and position loaded and empty trailers throughout the yard and at dock doors.
• Operate a yard tractor and commercial vehicles safely within the facility and on public roadways when required.
• Couple and uncouple tractors and trailers, and chock trailers when positioned for loading or unloading.
• Shuttle trailers between the Patterson facility, a Modesto warehouse, and Bay Area locations as needed.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management while following facility and DOT safety requirements.

What You Need

• Valid CDL A
• 9+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Must be at least 21 years old
