Responsibilities Set up and operate manual lathes to produce precision components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machining equipment to ensure optimal performance. Inspect finished parts using various measuring tools to ensure adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and enhance productivity. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices. Document production activities and maintain accurate records of work performed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a machinist, with a strong focus on manual lathe operations. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Strong understanding of machining principles, processes, and materials. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
