Bird Migration Walk and Riparian Restoration along Thornton Creek

Join us this October as we celebrate the role of wetlands in fall bird migration and caring for our section of Thornton Creek at Kingfisher Natural Area. We’ll be learning a bit about the importance of green spaces and wetlands in particular as rest stops for our beautiful migrating birds. We’ll then be removing non-native weeds such as morning glory from around young and mature native plants and bare ground to help the native plants there grow and thrive and to make way for new native plantings in the spring. All ages and skill levels are welcome. We’ll provide the tools, gloves, snacks, hot drinks, and water. The Dirt Corps
