Manchester Tank Quincy Weld Specialist

Responsibilities: Including the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Read interpret and follow basic blueprints diagrams engineering drawings specifications weld symbols and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products.
• Set up operational parameters on the machine and monitor. Make corrections as needed.
• Positions aligns and fits components using advanced circular welding techniques. 
• Welds fabricated cast and stamped components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels.
• Performs first inspections to verify setup and quality before production runs.
• Monitor and inspect product quality to identify visual and structural defects utilizing required gauges and established inspection criteria.
• Utilize handheld tools such as handheld screw guns drill guns and grinders.
• Operate calipers weld gauges tape measures and other welding tools.
• Operation of lifting devices as needed.
• Looks for opportunities to get involved in safety environmental process changes and overall improvement efforts.
• Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures. 
• Read understand and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
• Shut down the process if unsafe.
• Regular dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Must pass Manchester Tank & Equipment Weld Specialist certification requirements.
• Must attend complete and implement required in-house training.

Starting Wage: $21.98/hour.
