Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2290 per week.

Shift: 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: Post-op care of patients required.

Unit Details: Nurse-patient ratios: 4-5/RN days, 5-6/RN nights. Common patient population includes post-op surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients. Common duties/procedures include dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drains, NGs, central lines, and TPN. No titratable drips; heparin only. Uses CPAP and high flow; RT manages nebs, RNs manage inhalers, and can place patients on CPAP. Some patients are on telemetry using Phillips monitors; bedside RNs do not read strips, and there is a central station for monitor techs.

Special Requests: Block scheduling may be considered and must be approved at time of contract.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; Saturday and Sunday are the weekend shift. Rotate every other holiday. No call.

Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first to float and will float to units with the same level of experience. If an ICU RN floats to a general unit, they take a team of 3 patients.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
