Driver

Salary Range $16.00 - $18.00 Hourly Position Type Seasonal Job Shift Day

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive delivery van/truck.
• Load/unload vehicle.
• Collect payments from COD customer (cash, check) and following company cash processing procedures.
• Alert salespersons/office of customer concerns or order discrepancies.
• Follow preset delivery route.
• Organize truck to ensure ease of delivery and unloading.
• Close delivery run by checking into the office to review invoices, payments, and trip sheets.
• Maintain vehicle; oil checks, refueling, etc.
• Inform management of vehicle maintenance needs.
• Alert leadership of accidents/tickets.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Complete ongoing safety training; never drive impaired.
• Customer relations when delivering orders.
• Assist Warehouse Support team with assorted stocking or processing tasks.
• Check outgoing product, for accuracy, against the customer invoice.
• Straighten boxes, sweep floors, remove trash as needed.
• Additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Skills and Abilities

• Able to collaborate and communicate with other work teams.
• Detail oriented for processing customer orders.
• Able to use powered and manual equipment, cutting tools, and other tools.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements

• Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins over, up and down inclines, stairs, changes in walking surfaces and elevations.
• Walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, 50 pounds on occasion, and 80 pounds as a team lift.
• Able to work in coolers.

Qualifications

• At least two years of retail, logistics, or warehouse experience required.
