Role Description This is a full-time, Physician Assistant role based in Cape Girardeau, MO. The Physician Assistant will perform comprehensive patient evaluations, review medical histories, and order and interpret relevant laboratory and diagnostic tests, with a focus on hormones, metabolic markers, and performance-related biomarkers. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, prescribing and managing hormone optimization and recovery therapies, and monitoring patient progress through follow-up visits and remote check-ins. The role involves collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff, educating patients on their data and care options, documenting encounters accurately in the medical record, and contributing to continuous improvements in clinic protocols and patient experience. Qualifications Active Physician Assistant licensure in Missouri and eligibility for prescriptive authority; graduation from an accredited PA program. Clinical experience in endocrinology, primary care, sports medicine, or functional / integrative medicine is highly beneficial. Strong skills in patient assessment, ordering and interpreting lab work, and developing individualized treatment plans. Comfort working with hormone optimization, metabolic testing, and performance-focused recovery therapies (training available for motivated candidates). Excellent communication skills for educating patients, explaining complex data in clear terms, and building long-term therapeutic relationships. Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing in-clinic presence in Springfield, MO with some remote tasks, while maintaining reliability and accountability. Experience with electronic health records, data-driven decision making, and maintaining accurate, compliant documentation.
