Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level 3 Trauma Center requiring 5+ years of circulating experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

Operating Room setting within a Level 3 Trauma Center, Stroke Center of Excellence, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and Chest Pain Center

19 OR suites with 17 rooms blocked, averaging 50 cases per day

Surgery specialties include trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, and plastics

12-hour day shift schedule, 7a-7p, 36 hours per week on a 6-week schedule cycle

Shift times may vary and include 7a-7p, 9a-9p, or 11a-11p as needed

Weekend rotation required every 4th weekend, either as a scheduled shift or call coverage

Call required averaging 6 shifts per 6-week schedule with a 45-minute response time, covering 11p-7a or 7a-7p/7p-7a on weekends

No floating required

EPIC EMR used

Requirements

Active NC or compact RN license required

BLS certification required

CNOR preferred but not required

Minimum 5 years of OR nursing experience required

Minimum 12 months of core OR specialty experience within the last year required

Experience circulating in trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, and plastics cases required

Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

Support team includes Service Line Clinical Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Educators, ORAs, Unit Secretaries, and Tech Engineers

Orientation includes facility-wide NEO and 2 days of departmental orientation

Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays

RTO subject to manager approval

Scrubs provided and free parking available

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Previous AHSE employees must be separated from any permanent position for at least 1 year before applying
