Additional Job Description

The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia’s largest health system and the state’s largest employer. The System has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub‑specialty care in areas such as cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience, among many others. The Health System operates West Virginia’s first and only multi‑organ transplant center, and opened a new, 150‑bed Children’s Hospital in September 2022.

Qualifications

Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a Urology residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in Urology. All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.

Martinsburg, WV is in the Eastern Panhandle of WestVirginia a little more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD close to 3 international airports. A rural atmosphere and a lower cost of living mixed with the easy accessibility to Washington DC / Baltimore areas make the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place in which to live. While Berkeley County is among the fastest growing counties in the state, there is little congestion and traffic.
