Senior Marketing Manager

We're a family-owned trail camera business based in Wisconsin, competing against private-equity-backed brands with 50 times our headcount. Since 2020, we've won by obsessing over the customer experience. For the life of our business, we’ve been solely focused on product development and customer support. But now, after thousands of cameras and nearly 100 million pictures, marketing is becoming more of an emphasis and we need someone to manage our marketing initiatives full time. That's where you come in. You'll report to our founder and own marketing day to day: product launches, video, social media, email, dealer materials, and our agency relationships. This is a hands-on role. You'll set the plan, and you'll also pick up the camera, write the post, and build the catalog. It's also a highly analytical one. You'll measure everything, and the data will decide what we do. As we grow, you'll help decide what we build in-house and what we hand to agencies. Expect some travel for trade shows, expos, and shoots. What you'll own Product launches. You'll own launch marketing and communications from strategy through execution: positioning, messaging, timeline, launch video, and PR. You'll coordinate the pro staff, VIP customers, dealers, and outfitters who make a launch land. Paid ads, with our agency. You'll coordinate Meta and Google ads with our agency. That means getting them raw content, making sure their creative follows our brand identity and speaks to hunters, and supporting their work to improve return on ad spend. Trade shows and expos. Booth, show marketing, and dealer and outfitter communication before, during, and after each show. You'll also produce a product catalog and one-pagers that stand out on a crowded show floor. Organic social. The strategy, the calendar, and the posts themselves. A.I. search optimization (AEO/GEO). Identify and execute on ways to rank appropriately. Email, SMS, and lifecycle. Campaigns and automated flows in Klaviyo. You'll run them yourself or manage an agency that does. Ambassador program. Grow and manage Website. You'll own updates to yellowstone.ai. We build and edit the site with Claude, so you'll ship changes yourself instead of waiting on a developer. Dealer marketing. In-store collateral for the shops and outfitters that carry our cameras: displays, signage, and handouts. Video production. High-end commercials and product video, plus a steady flow of field content. You'll plan, shoot, and edit yourself or direct outside crews. Field content generation. Coordinate with pro staff and customers to generate a steady flow of incoming video and static content. Analytics and attribution. You'll setup and manage tracking, which we’ll live by. You'll sort out what's driving sales and use the data, with AI where it helps. Are you a fit for our culture? We truly care about the person on the other end of the phone. We take care of customers today, at any cost, because we want them to remain lifelong evangelists. We prioritize quality, and therefore we will never be the cheapest. When something goes wrong, we take ownership and ask "what can I do about it," not "whose fault is it." We move fast. Monday's great ideas get released on Tuesday. Our mission is not to become the biggest trail camera brand in the world. Instead, we aim to a) disrupt the wildlife technology industry and b) create good jobs for good people in our community. What we're looking for You've owned marketing for a product or brand for 3+ years, and you've led at least one product launch from first plan to final results. You're highly analytical and data-driven. You know ROAS, MER, and customer acquisition cost cold, you work comfortably in Shopify, Google Analytics, and ad platform reports, and you make decisions from the numbers instead of gut feel. You use AI as a force multiplier. You already use tools like Claude or ChatGPT to write, research, analyze data, build, and work faster, and you're ready to use them to run a website. You also know where AI helps and where it doesn't. You make things yourself. You can shoot and edit video, write copy that sounds like a person, and lay out a catalog or one-pager you'd be proud to hand a dealer. You've run email and SMS programs. Klaviyo experience is a plus. You've managed a paid media agency or run Meta and Google ads yourself, and you can tell good creative and good numbers from bad. You're organized enough to run a launch, a trade show, and a content calendar at the same time without dropping one.
