Mechanical Drafter

Location: Fremont, CA

Long term contract

 

 

Responsibilities

• Update engineering drawings and incorporate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Create and revise schematic, orthographic, section, and assembly drawings
• Develop detailed drawings that accurately depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and equipment
• Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Collaborate with mechanical designers and engineers to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness
• Specify dimensions, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing procedures on drawings
• Verify dimensions and material specifications and assign part numbers as required
• Manage drawing files and ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards
• Support Engineering Change Notice (ECN) activities and documentation updates

 

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Drafter
• Strong understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Experience creating and maintaining detailed mechanical drawings
• Experience working with ECO and ECN processes
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Experience with precision machined components and sheet metal parts
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

 

Preferred Qualifications

• UGNX experience
• Candidates with strong experience in other CAD platforms are encouraged to apply and will be trained on NX
• Semiconductor capital equipment experience
• Vacuum system experience
