Technique, Inc. is currently looking for a robotic welding technician who will use MIG/TIG welding equipment in accordance with job and customer demand, welding both stainless and carbon steel. The welder will support the quality assurance team with part layouts and inspections, requiring a basic knowledge of GD&T and print reading. They will also assist in the design, development and implementation of production fixturing, and operate and recover welding robots for all phases of production.Available Shifts: Shift available: Monday-Friday – 7:00am-3:30pmJob Responsibilities:Ability to set up the welder and weld basic GTAW and GMAW mild steel jointsAbility to read and apply basic weld symbolsAbility to distinguish different material typesUnderstanding of weld fixture locations and return processAbility to change over wire and gas for regular operationsDemonstrate ability to set up and troubleshoot projection welder and change settings accordinglyBasic blueprint reading testRequired:High School Diploma or GED.Vocational training (STEM Program, Career Center or Technical Trades Training).2 years welding experience in an industrial settingPhysical Demands/Working Conditions: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
