Stationary Engineer – JLLThis is a Stationary Engineer role responsible for all aspects of hospital building maintenance, equipment, and operating systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of complex hospital facilities by maintaining HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and medical equipment. This position requires deep knowledge of life safety regulations and regulatory compliance standards including NFPA, Joint Commission, CDPH, OSHA, and CMS. Your expertise will directly contribute to JLL's mission of delivering exceptional facility management services while ensuring patient safety and operational excellence in healthcare environments. This is a union position.What your day-to-day will look like:Maintain and operate HVAC systems including chillers, package units, air handlers, fan coils, boilers, steam systems, and pneumatic controlsPerform plumbing maintenance and repairs on fixtures, hydronics, mechanical systems, pneumatics, pumps, and associated componentsTroubleshoot, repair, and inspect electrical systems for building maintenance in compliance with NFPA70E standardsConduct general building maintenance including patching, painting, door and hardware repairs and maintenanceMaintain medical equipment systems including vacuum, medical air, and EOC in accordance with Life Safety regulationsPerform comprehensive facility and equipment inspections, ensuring compliance with OSHA, JACHO, CMS, NFPA, and other regulatory standardsDocument all work efforts and maintenance activities to meet organizational and regulatory requirementsRequired Qualifications:Working knowledge of NFPA, Joint Commission, CDPH, OSHA, and other standards as they relate to hospital facilitiesExperience with HVAC systems including chillers, package units, air handlers, fan coils, boilers, steam systems, and pneumatic controlsProficiency in plumbing systems including fixtures, hydronics, mechanical systems, pneumatics, and pumpsNFPA70E certification for electrical troubleshooting, building maintenance, repairs, and inspectionsKnowledge of medical equipment systems including vacuum, medical air, and EOC, and Life Safety regulationsExperience in all aspects of facility and equipment inspections and maintenanceKnowledge of OSHA, JACHO, CMS, NFPA, and other regulatory compliance expectationsEnrollment in the union local 39, 3 days after your start date.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in hospital or healthcare facility maintenanceAdditional certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systemsExperience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Strong documentation and record-keeping skillsExperience working in Joint Commission-accredited facilitiesLocation: Onsite, San Leandro, CASalary: $76.50Estimated compensation for this position: 151,700.00 – 151,700.00 USD per year. This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
