Overview Business Assistant – Kind Dentistry, Mount Pleasant. Kind Dentistry, Mount Pleasant is looking for a Business Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone with strong dental front office knowledge, Dentrix experience, and a team-focused mindset. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, goal-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative, family-like office environment. Schedule Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM Possibility of switching to Tuesday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Compensation $20.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience Ideal Experience / Qualifications Dentrix experience preferred Dental office knowledge preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to support scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and front office flow Positive attitude and ability to work well with a close-knit team Organized, dependable, and goal-oriented Comfortable working in a collaborative, patient-focused environment Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination Support insurance verification and patient account questions Assist with treatment plan presentation and financial discussions as needed Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix Partner with the clinical team to support smooth office flow Provide excellent customer service to patients and team members Why Heartland Dental? Minimum Qualifications Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment Excellent communication and organizational skills The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards. Preferred Experience 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable Dentrix or other dental software experience Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
