Allied Universal is seeking a GSOC Operator for a Pharmaceutical Comapny located in Tarrytown, NY

• Position Is: Full Time
• Workdays Available: Candidates should be flexible Monday through Friday
• Work Shifts Available: Mornings/Afternoons, Evenings and Overnights
• Pay Rate: $27.88 / hour

As a GSOC Operator, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more. The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator, under guidance of GSOC Supervisor, is responsible for assisting company personnel in all concerns that pertain to safety and security for corporate locations around the globe. The individual will work in a GSOC environment, monitoring several screens. The Operator will use a variety of tools that range from access control and alarm monitoring systems to various business intelligence sources, open-source media, Internet, and in-house tools. The Operator is required to detect, analyze, and alert others of any incidents which may impact the client’s people, products, property, or brand image. These may range from extreme weather conditions, political instability, crime, terror, to technical failures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Security Monitoring & Surveillance
  • Monitor CCTV, access control, and security systems across all assigned locations.
  • Monitor alarms, duress notifications, fire alarm systems, and other security-related platforms.
  • Identify, assess, and respond to unusual, suspicious, or potentially threatening activity.
  • Conduct routine system health checks and report equipment malfunctions or system issues.
• Travel Security & Global Monitoring
  • Monitor employee travel and provide security-related support for personnel traveling domestically and internationally.
  • Monitor global security events, travel advisories, geopolitical developments, severe weather, natural disasters, civil unrest, and other events that may impact employee safety or business operations.
  • Assess travel to high-risk locations and provide appropriate notifications and escalations.
  • Utilize travel security resources, including International SOS, to monitor traveler activity and emerging security concerns.
  • Support traveler tracking, emergency notifications, and communications during travel-related incidents.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external resources when travel-related security concerns arise.
  • Maintain situational awareness of  global events and emerging threats that may affect company personnel, assets, or operations.
  • Utilize Dataminr and other intelligence platforms to monitor real-time alerts, breaking events, emerging threats, and incidents that may impact employees, facilities, travel, or business operations.
  • Evaluate and validate alerts related to security incidents, severe weather, natural disasters, civil unrest, geopolitical developments, and other evolving situations.
  • Escalate relevant alerts and intelligence to the appropriate stakeholders in accordance with established procedures.
• Alarm Monitoring & Response
  • Monitor, acknowledge, and assess security, access control, fire, duress, and other alarm notifications.
  • Follow established response and escalation procedures for alarm activations and emergency events.
  • Notify appropriate site personnel, emergency responders, management, or designated contacts as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of alarm activations, response actions, and resolutions.
• Incident Management & Escalation
  • Receive, evaluate, and respond to security-related incidents and notifications.
  • Determine the appropriate level of response and escalation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors, site security personnel, EHS, Facilities, law enforcement, EMS, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Ensure incidents are thoroughly documented and properly transitioned between shifts when ongoing.
• Emergency Communications
  • Serve as a central communication hub during security incidents and emergency situations.
  • Support emergency response efforts by providing relevant information, camera coverage, access control data, and other available resources.
  • Initiate notifications and communications in accordance with established emergency procedures.
• Situational Awareness & Intelligence
  • Monitor open-source intelligence, security notifications, travel advisories, weather events, and other information that may impact company personnel or operations.
  • Provide timely situational awareness updates and notifications to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support monitoring efforts related to high-risk travel and other identified security concerns.
• Access Control & Security Systems
  • Monitor C-CURE access control activity and related security systems.
  • Support badge and access-related investigations, audits, and troubleshooting efforts as appropriate.
  • Document system issues and escalate technical problems to the appropriate department, vendor, or support resource.
• Communication & Shift Handover
  • Maintain clear, concise, and professional communication throughout the shift.
  • Provide thorough shift handovers, including active incidents, ongoing investigations, system issues, scheduled activities, and follow-up requirements.
  • Ensure critical information is effectively communicated to incoming personnel and appropriate supervisors.
• Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate GSOC logs, incident reports, and operational documentation.
  • Record significant events, alarms, notifications, actions taken, and outcomes.
  • Ensure all reports are completed accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records that support operational continuity, accountability, and compliance.
• Operational Support
  • Support security operations through information sharing, monitoring, coordination, and incident support.
  • Assist with after-hours notifications and escalations involving security-related issues.
  • Monitor scheduled work activities, fire alarm bypasses, maintenance activities, and other operational events requiring GSOC awareness.
  • Coordinate with site security personnel and other departments when GSOC involvement is necessary.
• Professional Expectations
  • Remain attentive and actively monitor assigned systems throughout their shift.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), escalation protocols, and management directives.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability at all times.
  • Respond to incidents and requests in a timely, effective, and appropriate manner.
  • Accurately document all actions, decisions, and activities in designated systems and logs.
  • Complete all assigned responsibilities and ensure proper turnover whenever operationally feasible.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or five (5) years of verifiable experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of military, law enforcement, government, or security experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
