Electrical Engineer/Scientist (Ph.D.)

Electrical Engineer/Scientist – Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Chicago, IL Responsibilities Perform electrical engineering consulting for projects related to power systems, renewable energy, residential, commercial, and industrial equipment; electrical work practices; control systems; battery systems; consumer products; and electrical installations. Generate and conduct testing protocols in laboratory and field settings. Investigate failures, identify preventive measures, and enhance product safety. Communicate technical information to diverse audiences, including preparing technical reports and presentations. Desired Experience Circuit analysis and/or system design Power electronics and/or systems Control systems Embedded systems Root‑cause/failure analysis Consumer product design Industrial process control Skills and Qualifications Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field. Hands‑on experience with electronics hardware and/or software development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and support multiple projects simultaneously in multidisciplinary teams. Experience designing, constructing, and performing tests in a laboratory setting. Ability to gather information and convey technical conclusions to engineering, business, and related audiences. Presently legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship or processing required.
