Job Duties - What You'll Be Responsible For

• Conduct both routine and specialized clinical lab tests-encompassing chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-in adherence to established protocols.
• Evaluate test results for precision, address discrepancies, and carry out regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as the need arises.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of all laboratory processes, mentor new hires or students, and maintain the high standards of the lab.
• Foster a clean and safe working environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications Needed

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Ongoing maintenance of certification is essential throughout your employment period.
