This role manages and grows a portfolio of turf industry customers including golf courses, sports complexes, municipalities, landscapers, distributors, and turf management professionals. The Regional Sales Manager serves as a trusted advisor to customers by providing technical expertise, identifying business opportunities, and delivering solutions that improve turf performance and operational results. **Key Responsibilities****Sales & Business Development*** Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and market share objectives.* Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across golf, sports turf, municipal, commercial landscaping, and other turf-related markets.* Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers through consultative selling and regular account management.* Develop annual business plans for key accounts and distributors.* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the turf industry.* Generate accurate sales forecasts and maintain a robust sales pipeline.**Customer Relationship Management*** Serve as the primary point of contact for customers within the assigned region.* Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, field evaluations, and business reviews.* Partner with superintendents, grounds managers, athletic field managers, landscape contractors, and purchasing decision-makers to identify solutions that meet operational needs.* Resolve customer concerns and coordinate resources to ensure exceptional service and customer retention.* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and association meetings.**Technical & Product Support*** Provide technical expertise regarding turf products, agronomic practices, equipment, or services.* Collaborate with agronomy, operations, marketing, and customer support teams to deliver value-added solutions.* Conduct product training and educational presentations for customers and distributors.* Develop knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies impacting turf management.**Leadership & Collaboration*** Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product development, customer service, operations, and finance teams.* Share marketplace insights and customer feedback to support future business strategies.* Participate in regional and national sales meetings.* Mentor junior sales representatives when appropriate. **Qualifications****Required*** Bachelor's degree in Business, Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.* Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.* Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.* Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory (50-75%).**Preferred*** 5+ years of successful outside sales experience.* Knowledge of turf, golf, landscaping, agriculture, irrigation, equipment, or related industries.* Demonstrated ability to build long-term customer relationships and close complex sales opportunities.* Turfgrass management, golf course, sports field, or landscaping industry experience.* Certified Turfgrass Professional (CTP), Certified Sports Field Manager (CSFM), or related certification.* Knowledge of agronomic practices, turf nutrition, pest management, irrigation systems, or turf equipment.**Key Competencies*** Strategic Selling* Business Development* Account Management* Relationship Building* Technical Consultation* Financial Acumen* Market Analysis* Negotiation* Communication & Presentation Skills* Problem Solving* Results Orientation **Pay Range:**$80,000.00 USD - $90,000.00 USD Annually **What We Offer Eligible Employees:*** Medical, dental and vision insurance* 401(k) with company match* Generous holiday schedule and paid time off* Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP)* Life and disability insurance* Learning and development program **Responsible Manufacturing – Protecting Our Planet for the Future*** EcoVadis Platinum Medal - recognizing top 1% global performance in sustainability excellence.* Goal Zero - commitment to diverting job site and manufacturing waste from landfill.* Industry-leading manufacturing systems certified to ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environmental), and ISO 45001 (health & safety).* Leading recycling and material regeneration through two owned and operated facilities. **Who We Are:**Tarkett Sports is a world leader in sports construction and surfacing, providing architectural design, full-scope construction services, and a comprehensive portfolio of industry-leading sports surfacing solutions.
