Campus Supervision Liaison

7.75 hrs/day

Job Description / Essential Elements: Under supervision, monitor and control student behavior on a high school campus; write simple reports; and perform related duties as required.

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enforce rules, regulations, and District policies
• Observe and control student behavior in non-classroom activities
• Supervise and modify student behavior in non-classroom activities and special school activities, such as assemblies, dances, and athletic events
• Supervise and assist Campus Supervision Aides in performance of assigned duties
• Act as a liaison between campus administration and Campus Supervision Aides, the home, and law enforcement agencies on student behavior issues
• Receive and investigate student referrals; report findings to campus administration and parents as required
• Work with campus administration to develop positive communication with students and parents regarding behavior at school via telephone, personal visits, and written correspondence
• Patrol student parking areas; give referrals as needed
• Request unauthorized persons to leave campus grounds
• Use a walkie-talkie for urgent communications
• Locate students on campus as needed
• Assist in the evacuation of buildings during emergencies in accordance with standard procedures

Experience/Training/Education:

• Graduation from high school, supplemented by courses in behavioral psychology desired
• Three years of responsible work history, including direct contact with the public, preferably with youth groups
• Bilingual capability in Spanish desired

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Three letters of recommendation dated within the last three months
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher Degree

This position will assist administration in monitoring student and non-student behavior in order to encourage proper behavior on campus; and do related work as required. Applicant must have knowledge of Penal Code sections and District policies related to orderly conduct on campus property.

Effective 7.1.2025: 2025-2026: Salary schedule increase of 2% and a 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 2026–2027: Salary schedule increase of 60% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 2027–2028: Salary schedule increase of 50% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end
