Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Hematopathologist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.Work Schedule: Generally (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm); possibility of rotating SaturdaysJob ResponsibilitiesIndividual diagnostic evaluation of Hematopathology consultation specimens, Flow Cytometry specimens, and Bone Marrow Morphology specimensAccurate and timely evaluation of specimens testedAssure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines/standardsProvide expert consultation and discussions with referring Oncologists and Pathologists as needed, in person, by phone, or electronicallyProvide assistance to the Medical Director and Director of Hematopathology with administrative tasks as neededAssures good laboratory practice (GLP) and compliance with applicable accrediting and regulatory agenciesMinimum QualificationsMedical Degree from an accredited college/universityArizona Licensed PhysicianBoard Certification in Anatomic and Clinical PathologySubspecialty Board Certification in HematopathologyAdditional Job StandardsExperience in a high-volume hospital and/or large referral laboratory environment preferredStrong experience interpreting Flow Cytometry, Bone Marrow Morphology, and lymphoid tissue specimensExperience with Hematopathology consultations, including the use of ancillary testing such as Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH), Cytogenetics, and Molecular DiagnosticsOrganized and efficient problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
