Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift: 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00) from Monday to Friday.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Operating Room RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing various cardiovascular procedures. The role requires effective collaboration with the surgical team and proficiency in utilizing surgical techniques and equipment associated with cardiovascular surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures including aortic and mitral valve repairs, CABG, and thoracic surgeries.
• Utilize electronic health record systems (EPIC) and adhere to SBAR communication standards.
• Ensure the safe and effective use of specialized surgical equipment and instruments.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide immediate care support as needed during surgeries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR.
• Current BCLS certification is required.
• CNOR certification is preferred.
• Experience with scrub duties is required.
