Mission Advancement Officer

Mission Advancement Officer The Mission Advancement Officer must identify and develop new individual and business leads in order to maintain the continuity of the Vision 2030 Capital Campaign while working to expand the donor support base in all phases of fund development. All activities will be conducted in accordance with the institutional goals and ideals. In addition, this position will be active in the participation of planning, cultivation, and solicitation of donors to support efforts and goals of the Mission Advancement team. Candidates will be invited to demonstrate a willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary. Lead, organize, supervise, and execute components of the Vision 2030 Capital Campaign. Utilize business development and networking skills to give direction and support to programs at the University of Mary (Exp, on-line degrees, certification programs, etc.). Work directly with the Director of Alumni to fulfill fundraising goals with Alumni. Attend staff meetings conducted to review current activities and progress and attend special events sponsored by the Office of Mission Advancement. Be an ambassador of the University of Mary and perform other related duties as requested and assigned. Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of five years of work experience at a non-profit agency, specifically in the field of fundraising and development work. Project management and event coordination experience needed. Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities. Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality inthe Office of Mission Advancement and throughout the university, in accord with Saint Benedict’s admonition that all be received as Christ.
