Chauffer Driver Nights PT Fri & Sat (Chauffeur or CDL license)

Shuttle DriverWe are seeking Chauffer Drivers for Night Shifts FT or PT (Chauffeur or CDL license) for work in Providence, RI. We have evening shifts 5pm-12am or 7pm-3am providing safe rides for college students. Current openings are for Friday and Saturday nights. Drivers can expect to operate mini van style vehicles or 14 passenger walk-ons. Shuttle drivers for this role earn a base rate of $21/hour. Drivers with a CDL and P endorsement earn $23/hour. The shuttle provides late night rides for college students. Must be over 20, 3 years of documented driving experience, and customer service experience is a must! A valid RI Chauffer license or CDL with passenger endorsement is required. Valid medical card is also required. Background checks, drug tests, and driving test will be conducted.The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location that the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we canSafely shuttling customers to various destinationsOpening and closing doors for patronsAdhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttlesCommunicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers and lot attendantsCompleting required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirementsRecording passenger counts and trip timesCompleting necessary paperwork involved in daily operationsAssisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones etc.)Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanlinessCommunicating mechanical problems with shuttles to managementComplying with company procedures for shuttle operationsVPA is an Equal Opportunity & Affirmative Action Employer.
