Overview Registered Nurse, PCU — San Luis Obispo, California. Travel assignment starting 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,921-$2,108 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Responsibilities

• Plan and provide direct nursing care for PCU/telemetry patients, including monitoring and adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and respond to life-threatening emergencies in a timely manner
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including blood products, and manage indwelling lines and drains
• Monitor patient status, document findings, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team; supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff within scope of practice
• Care for patients post coronary interventions and post device placements (e.g., pacemaker/ICD) and manage post-ACS care per protocol
• Verify alarm settings with the monitor technician and ensure safe, evidence-based care and patient safety

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice (California required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) proficiency; NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire
• ADN/ASN required; BSN preferred
• Basic Dysrhythmia course and Critical Care course preferred
• 6 months of cardiac step-down or telemetry experience in the last 2 years preferred
• Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity PCU/telemetry setting
• Willingness to float to medical-surgical units if needed
