Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, educational aide, or related school-based role
- Comfort providing academic and behavioral support to students with varied learning needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow educators’ instructions and adapt to changing classroom environments
- High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may prefer postsecondary coursework or certifications)
- Commitment to nurturing a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support classroom instruction under the guidance of teachers or special education staff
- Assist students with assignments, activities, and developing social skills
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning space
- Provide individualized attention and encouragement to ensure student success
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, or during activities as needed
- Support record-keeping, classroom organization, and accommodations per student plans
