Position Title: Assistant Softball Coach Location: Basalt, Colorado Position Type: Part-Time/Seasonal Overview Basalt High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Softball Coach. This role is an integral part of our coaching staff, focusing on developing skills and overall performance while fostering a supportive and competitive team environment. Responsibilities Assist in organizing and managing team practices, games, and events. Provide real-time feedback during practices and games to optimize performance. Collaborate with the head coach to align pitching development with overall team goals. Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive team culture. Ensure compliance with school and state athletic regulations. Minimum Qualifications Prior experience as a softball coach (minimum of 2 years) or player (minimum of 4 years). In-depth knowledge of pitching techniques and training strategies. Strong communication and mentorship skills. Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and student-athletes. Commitment to player development and team success. Preferred Qualifications Experience coaching at the high school or collegiate level. Advanced training or certifications in softball coaching. Schedule and Compensation Seasonal position, aligning with the softball season (August-October). Salary Range: $2,772.00 - $3,493.00 depending on previous paid experience in this sport.
