Clinical Nurse - Perioperative (Operating Room) - Contract Position

Location: Tuba City, AZ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 4 shifts per week, plus on-call responsibilities.

Job Description: The Clinical Nurse provides care for the perioperative patient, engaging in the nursing process that includes assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses, planning interventions, and evaluating interventions based on patient outcomes. The Operating Room clinical nurse is expected to circulate in various specialty areas, including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental. Scrubbing experience is highly encouraged.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate in all relevant specialty areas within the operating room.
• Prepare for emergency cases on short notice while on call.
• Engage in continued professional development and training as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license to practice nursing in any state of the U.S.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six (6) months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) within one (1) year of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Courses (TNCC) within two (2) years of hire.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Two (2) years of clinical nursing and/or operating room practical experience.
