JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a seasoned project management professional with a passion for broadcast technology and systems integration? Do you thrive in dynamic, fast‑paced environments, leading complex projects from concept to completion? If so, we want you to join our team! We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Design Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of our cutting‑edge broadcast infrastructure and technology projects.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITES:

Project Leadership: Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle for broadcast systems installations, upgrades, and migrations (e.g., control rooms, studios & technical spaces). Scope & Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation models. Team Coordination: Coordinate and manage internal engineering teams, external vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders. Budget & Risk Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and identify/mitigate potential risks and issues to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including specifications, change orders, status reports, and final handover documentation. Technical Oversight: Possess a working knowledge of modern broadcast technologies (e.g., IP video/SMPTE 2110, cloud‑based systems, baseband infrastructure, asset management).

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing technical projects, with at least 3 years specifically focused on broadcast, A/V, or media technology systems integration. Project Management Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification. Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of core broadcast and IT infrastructure concepts (e.g., routing, signal flow, networking, storage). Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Software Proficiency: Expert proficiency with project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, AutoCAD, Jira) and standard office productivity tools.

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with IP-based broadcast solutions (SMPTE 2110, NDI, etc.). Familiarity with cloud media workflows (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $114,000.00-150,000.00 annually.
