Job DescriptionWhat you’ll need to succeed as a Truck Driver at XPO\nMinimum qualifications:\n\n Be at least 21 years of age\n Valid Class A commercial driver's license\n Safe driving record and history\n Currently possess or be willing to obtain hazardous materials, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days of employment\n Pass a DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals in the last 3 years\n Hold a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a company-paid DOT physical\n Available to work a flexible schedule that’s up to 12-14 hours a day, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays\n\n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n Forklift experience\n Currently possess hazardous materials, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements\n\n\nAbout the Truck Driver Job\nPay, benefits and more:\n\n Home daily\n Up to $3,000 in bonuses available\n Experienced drivers can start at $36.30/hour\n\n\n Full health insurance benefits on day one\n Life and disability insurance\n Earn up to 13 days PTO over your first year\n\n\n 9 paid company holidays\n 401(k) option with company match\n Education assistance\n This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position\n\n\nWhat you’ll do on a typical day:\n\n Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and triples\n Provide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leads\n Load and unload freight\n\n\nTruck Drivers are required to:\n\n Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.); move and position a converter dolly with an average weight/pull force of approximately 128 lbs.\n Safely climb in/out of a tractor cab/trailer\n Sit for extended periods in a truck tractor and/or on a forklift; safely operate heavy equipment and a forklift\n Walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery (including working outdoors in inclement weather)\n Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel\n Operate a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 consecutive hours, in all types of weather, while safely transporting hazardous/non-hazardous materials\n\n\nPursuant to U.S. Department of Labor requirements, the worker must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and record.\n\nDon’t have your CDL-A yet? The sign-on bonus will be paid in accordance with the Company’s payroll procedures on the normal payroll date following 30 days of your continuous employment. Current XPO employees are not eligible for sign-on bonuses.\n\nA $1,000 retention bonus will be paid to those eligible participants who are hired while the program is in effect and attain 6 months of continuous employment with XPO in their current qualified position.
