We're hiring a Director, Total Rewards on behalf of a commercial real estate company headquartered in San Diego. This is a strategic leadership role sitting on the People & Culture leadership team and reporting directly to the Chief People Officer. If you're a rewards leader who wants to own the strategy, not just administer it, this is worth a conversation.
The Role
You’ll lead compensation strategy, incentive program design, and HR technology for a high-performing, fast-moving organization. You’ll have direct access to the CPO and senior leadership, and your work will have a tangible impact on how the company attracts and retains top talent.
What You’ll Do
Compensation & Total Rewards
- Design and manage competitive, equitable compensation structures across the organization
- Lead the annual total rewards cycle — benchmarking, job evaluation, pay equity
- Develop and administer short- and long-term incentive programs
- Deliver compensation insights and reporting to leadership
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, ADA, and applicable employment law
HR Technology
- Own the HR technology roadmap and drive platform optimization
- Partner on HRIS administration, integrations, and data integrity
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve workflows and AI-enabled efficiencies
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in HR; 3+ years leading compensation and HRIS functions
- Deep expertise in comp program design, pay structures, and incentive administration
- Strong HRIS platform experience (UKG, Workday, or similar)
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Background in commercial real estate, financial services, or life sciences a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required; CCP, SHRM‑SCP, or HRIS certifications a plus
